A Haikyō revelou que o ator de voz Motomu Kiyokawa faleceu no passado dia 17 de agosto de 2022 devido a uma pneumonia. Ele tinha 87 anos.
Kiyokawa nasceu em 1935 e em 1957 ingressou na Haiyuza Theatre Company. Ele juntou-se depois à agência Haikyō em 1968 tendo trabalhado como ator de teatro e seiyuu.
Kiyokawa é talvez mais conhecido por emprestar a sua voz a Kozo Fuyutsuki na série anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, o filme Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth e o filme Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion. Ele voltou a representar esse papel nos quatro recentes filmes da franquia.
Ele foi também Walter em Hellsing e Hellsing Ultimate, Tem Rey em Mobile Suit Gundam, Tippy em Is the order a rabbit?, Shimei em Time of Eve, Artorius em Restaurant to Another World, Dr. T em Gungrave, Norman Burg em The Big O, Gain em By the Grace of the Gods, Reizo Kanba em Xam’d: Lost Memories, Takezō Ryūzōji em Planet With, Charules Auclair em Nodame Cantabile, Isamu Kihara em A Lull in the Sea e Gargoyle em Nadia – The Secret of Blue Water, entre muitos outros.
